Fairmont Charter Elementary School proudly honors Kelly Otis as its Classified Employee of the Year.
Kelly currently serves as a paraeducator in one of our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classrooms during the morning and supports our first-grade classes in the afternoon. Before stepping into this role, she worked as a special education paraeducator, where she demonstrated remarkable skill, patience, and dedication to helping students with diverse needs thrive. Her ability to connect with students, foster their growth, and support their learning goals is truly inspiring.
Her positive attitude is contagious and profoundly impacts students and staff. She approaches each day with energy, enthusiasm, and a readiness to tackle any challenge. Whether stepping in to assist wherever needed, creating engaging and fun learning experiences, or ensuring that all students feel safe and supported, Kelly’s commitment to excellence is evident in everything she does.
She has a unique ability to make learning enjoyable and engaging for students, fostering an environment where they feel confident and motivated to succeed. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care for others make her a trusted and valued member of the school community.
