Fairmont Charter Elementary School proudly honors Tracy Burrow as its Teacher of the Year.
Tracy is a vital member of our Fairmont family. With over 25 years of teaching experience, her dedication to education, unwavering passion for our students, and remarkable contributions to our STEAM program make her an exemplary candidate for this recognition.
This year, she transitioned from teaching 2nd grade to 4th grade and has excelled in this new role. Her ability to adapt and thrive in a different grade level demonstrates her versatility and commitment to professional growth. Her students adore her, and her classroom is a model of structure and engagement. She fosters a nurturing environment where every student feels valued and supported and treats her students as if they were her children. Whenever an issue arises, she handles it promptly and with the utmost care, always prioritizing the well-being and success of her students.
At Fairmont, we pride ourselves on being a STEAM-focused charter school; she has been a driving force behind our success in this area. This year, she spearheaded our application for a grant from Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a STEM curriculum initiative. Her enthusiasm for the program was contagious, and her determination was instrumental in securing a large grant. These funds have enabled us to expand our STEAM offerings, including establishing a STEAM lab that benefits all students at Fairmont. Ms. Burrow’s tenacity, forward-thinking approach, and commitment to innovation have profoundly impacted our school community.
Her exceptional dedication to her students, leadership in advancing STEAM education, and unwavering "can-do" spirit make her an ideal candidate for Teacher of the Year. She inspires her colleagues and is a beacon of excellence in education. I am honored to recommend her for this well-deserved recognition.
