Vacaville Elementary Independent Study Program (VISP) is designed for elementary students in grades K-6. This homeschool program provides a format for supporting a parent-guided educational process. Parents will take a significant and active role in the instruction of their child while working with an independent study teacher. VISP provides assistance with curriculum that is aligned with the district's approved course of study and aligned with the state grade level expectations. The focus of VISP is to ensure an excellent educational program structured for each student's individual strengths and needs. The program is located at Orchard Elementary School. Interested families should contact Anne Silva by email or call 707 453-6255.

Vacaville Independent Study (VIS) offers 7th through 12th-grade students unique and innovative learning opportunities in a hybrid school setting. The program utilizes a blended approach to learning through independent study, online coursework, and virtual/in-person classroom instruction. Classes meet regularly in person and via Zoom, and students are supported in their independent courses through a weekly meeting with their Personal Learning Plan teacher. The staff makes every effort to ensure that each student's experience at Vacaville Independent Study is customized to their unique needs. For enrollment follow these steps.
